In October 2017 we sang at the Metropolitan Cathedral in the 'Pause for Hope' service for those affected by cancer. It was an emotional experience and we felt very privileged to participate in such a moving service. More recently we participated in the BBC recording of 'Songs of Praise', at Port Sunlight. Prior to Christmas, we performed at Liverpool One Shopping Centre, fund-raising for Marie Curie where the people of Liverpool were typically generous with their donations to this very worthwhile cause. During 2014 to 2018 we performed several WW1 comemorative concerts, culminating in four concerts in November 2018 to mark the armastice. In response to many requests, we had one of these concerts professionally recorded at Holy Trinity Church in Formby and the resultant CD is available to buy ( see below ). If you would like a copy, please let us know via our contact page.
We are always looking for new connections and interesting locations in which to perform. We're always pleased to receive invitations for concerts and all such requests are given our earnest consideration. Perhaps we may be able to arrange a concert for you?
In a typical year we do 12 to 14 concerts with about five of those concerts being carol concerts in December. One of which is in tandem with a primary school, we take it in turns to sing and it is a big hit with the children and parents alike. The delight on the children's faces when they realise that the men behind them can actually sing is amusing to us oldies.
As you can imagine - at the current time our concerts have had to be cancelled. We have just one booking in 2021 - a wedding - we hope, particularly for the couple getting married, that this is able to go ahead.
We are a vibrant and enthusiastic choir, with a strong mission statement. Throughout our long heritage, we have gathered a lot of choral experience in the male-voice tradition. We continue to grow, striving to broaden and vary our repertoire to meet the requirements of our hosts, or the event(s) in which we participate.

On Saturday 23rd May 1981 the choir took part in a massed concert of 1000 English male voices and the Royal Doulton Band at the Royal Albert Hall. The concert was conducted by our President at the time - Edmund Walters. We were to return for a second concert 2 years later.
LMVC joined Leeds MVC and others at the magnificent Leeds Town Hall in 1986. We were to take part again in 1991.
This is the Kagawa Male Voice Choir from Japan, who joined us in Liverpool Parish Church of Our Lady and St Nicholas at the Pier Head for the magnificent concert.
The concert was on 13th August 1998. We are assured on good authority that the Japanese lettering means “Voices in harmony”.
